Not the way my last one did, anyway. I think it’s no secret puberty is hard. I tend toward attachment with free range parenting, with a tendency away from pharma (which includes paternalism as well as Big Pharma). But puberty tended to be when we’d break down and get prescriptions. So it’s hard to spend time in that headspace, without getting cross or exasperated… not at my kids, but at society. Why do we have kids get up earlier and earlier as they progress through education? And then society wrings its hands over all the trouble youth get themselves into. Why does puberty in kids often overlap with perimenopause in parents? That might be less of a society thing – more God or natural history’s fault.
